As I ran out of my one-stop shampoo the other day, I of course reached for my wife’s L’Oreal products and was quickly frustrated to find I couldn’t easily identify the shampoo vs. conditioner.
Sure there’s gold, vibrant pink, white over black, and one bottle’s up and the other faces down, but it still took me over 20 seconds to figure out which bottle was what, simply because of poor typography. If you know anything about package design, this is the equivalent of product suicide. Ironically it doesn’t take much to fix this issue and still keep the essence of the designers vision. The original product on the left and a quick revise on the right, is literally the difference for your products success.
